Acupuncture Therapy
Acupuncture involves the insertion of a fine sterile needle gently into the skin at specific points to restore energy balance and stimulate your body’s inherent healing ability. Dr. Alycia uses this technique in combination with other treatment modalities to benefit concerns like menstrual irregularities, infertility, digestive upset, headaches, anxiety, insomnia, stress management, chronic pain, muscle strains and much more.
-
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Dr. Alycia has completed specific training in facial rejuvenation acupuncture techniques. This technique helps increase blood flow to the skin and stimulate collagen production in wrinkled areas and improve facial muscle tone to create a more relaxed appearance and promote graceful aging. She also uses facial acupuncture techniques to reduce the size and appearance of acne lesions and acne scarring. She pairs needling techniques with other ancient therapies like acupressure massage, facial cupping, gua sha and jade rolling to compliment your skincare and anti-aging goals.
-
Nutrition Counselling
Clinical nutrition counselling will play a foundational role in almost every patient case. Food as medicine is an underrated yet cornerstone component of the Naturopathic treatment plan. If it aligns with your goals, Dr. Alycia will investigate and make changes to your food choices through the use of diet diaries and/or food sensitivity testing to determine whether diet is contributing to your unique health concerns. Dr. Alycia will provide patients with individualized nutrition plans to support their treatment goals while also reinforcing general health prevention strategies.
-
Cupping Therapy
Cupping involves the use of mild to moderate suction over the skin, muscles and fascia to help with chronic pain, relaxation, blood flow and recent injuries. Dr. Alycia also uses this technique to support immunity by supporting lymph drainage throughout the body. She also makes use of flash cupping to tone and reduce the appearance of stretch marks.
-
Functional & Laboratory Testing
When encountering health challenges, laboratory testing can provide valuable insight into the root cause of your symptoms and assist in creating a treatment protocol. Dr. Alycia looks at blood results through a holistic lens, and is also able to request specific functional testing that may include food sensitivity testing, urine or saliva hormone panels, heavy metal and mineral analysis, and comprehensive stool analysis.
-
Supplement & Hormone Prescribing
You may be prescribed herbal or nutraceutical supplements as a part of your comprehensive treatment plan to support the body’s natural healing process. Supplements are particularly useful for treating the root cause of your symptoms or providing symptomatic relief while we try to uncover and address the root cause of your concerns. Dr. Alycia has prescribing authority with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) to safely provide her patients with the benefits of hormone therapy (HT). She has completed additional menopause hormone therapy training with Dr. Kara Dionisio, ND who is a certified North American Menopause Society Practitioner (NCMP). A comprehensive hormonal assessment will help Dr. Alycia to determine if this is an appropriate treatment option for you.

Vitamin Injection Therapy
Vitamin injections can be used as part of your treatment plan to optimize the body’s levels of certain vitamins and minerals to relieve specific symptoms. Absorbing and metabolizing oral supplements is limited by the integrity of the digestive system, so it proves challenging for patients with digestive issues, weak immune systems, on medications that reduce nutrient absorption, and high stress levels. The greatest advantage of injection vitamin therapy is that nutrients bypass the digestive system and are delivered directly into the vein. This increases the body’s absorption of therapeutic doses of nutrients which provides a vehicle for healing and disease prevention. During your initial and supporting visits, Dr. Alycia will use lab assessments to determine if this is an appropriate treatment option for you.
It’s not about the tools.
It’s about how you use them.
We live in a time where health information is always at the tips of fingertips. Revolutionary indeed, but very easy to be misdirected by information overload and contradicting sources. When we work together, you’ll have the correct information with the right guidance to take meaningful steps towards improving your health.
-
The Intake.
For Dr. Alycia, isolating the root cause of your symptoms is the first task at hand. This translates to doing a little detective work through labs and questioning connecting the dots between your health history and current symptom profile. With your help, a thorough assessment leads to better outcomes.
-
The Plan.
This is where we hit our “aha moment” and outline a plan to get your health back on track. Here we will work together to strengthen your foundation by naturally integrating nourishment, movement, sleep and stress support into your daily routine. We may add a little “oomf” to your plan by using other tools in our toolbox to support your unique health goals (supplements, herbals, acupuncture, cupping etc).
-
The Execution.
You’re doing most of the heavy lifting here. And by heavy lifting, I mean executing the plan we created together using all the tools we carefully placed in your toolkit. We will be touching base on you plan and supporting therapies, making tweaks if needed. I may not be present during the majority of the execution, but i’ll always be cheering you on from the sidelines.
